Latches and locks fitted, and gates prepared for automation

Timber Gates

Timber gates suit garden entrances and traditional properties, from a slatted side gate to a pair of arched driveway gates or a five-bar field gate.

Built from high-quality timber, they give strength and privacy, and Jacksons timber gates need no painting or staining.

The Gates We Fit

Each gate is finished with the hinges, latches and locks it needs, and hung to suit the slope and the space it opens into.

Garden and Side Gates

Timber, metal or composite gates for side paths and garden entrances.

Matched to your fence where it helps, and fitted with a latch or lock.

Driveway Gates

Single or double driveway gates in timber or metal, made to the width of your entrance.

Built for smooth, reliable use every day.

Field and Farm Gates

Five-bar field gates and estate gates for paddocks, farms and rural driveways.

Hung on strong posts so they stay level and swing freely.

Metal Gates

Strong, secure and low-maintenance metal gates for driveways, gardens and commercial sites.

A clean, modern look where security comes first.

Composite Gates

A modern, low-maintenance alternative to timber that keeps its looks.

Often matched to composite fencing for one consistent boundary.

Gate Repairs

A gate that is noisy, stiff, damaged or will not close can often be put right.

We look at the hinges, posts and fixings and tell you honestly whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense.

Metal and Estate Gates

Metal gates are well suited to driveways, gardens and commercial premises, where strength, security and a long life matter.

We fit metal estate gates and railings along drives and field edges, as well as steel and aluminium gates for homes and businesses.

Composite Gates

Composite gates give a contemporary look with very little upkeep: a rinse with warm, soapy water now and then is usually all they need.

They are strong and durable, and they keep their appearance over time.

We often fit them alongside composite fencing, so the whole boundary matches.

Gate Questions

What people ask us most before a new gate goes in.

Yes. We fit latches and locks, and can prepare a gate for automation. Tell us how you will use it and we will suggest what suits the space and your budget.

Usually not. You may need it if the gate is over 1 metre high next to a road or footpath, over 2 metres high anywhere else, or if the property is listed or in a conservation area. We are happy to advise, or you can check with your local planning authority.

Check a timber gate once a year, re-stain or seal it every 2 to 3 years and keep the hinges and lock lubricated. A composite gate just needs a rinse with warm, soapy water now and then. For steel and aluminium, oil the moving parts occasionally and touch up any scratches to stop rust.

Yes. Removing and responsibly disposing of your old gate is part of the installation.
