Decking Wrexham: Timber and Composite, Built to Last
Our decking Wrexham projects start well below the boards. We clear the site, take away any old decking or turf, and set the posts and framing that keep a deck solid for years.
On top goes timber or composite decking, designed around your home and how you want to use the space: somewhere to eat outside, a level base for a hot tub, or steps down to the lawn.
The whole job is project-managed from the groundwork to the final board, and backed by our 12-month workmanship guarantee.
What Goes Into a Deck
Every deck is different, but most of ours include several of these.
We can build in lighting, planters, steps and paths, and design the space around a pergola, a hot tub base or an outdoor kitchen.
Groundwork
We remove old decking or turf and prepare the ground properly before anything is built.
Posts are dug and set securely to carry the frame.
Framing
A strong, level frame is what keeps a deck solid and flat.
On sloping gardens it lets us build split-level or multi-level decks.
Drainage and Membrane
Weed membrane and drainage go in beneath the deck.
They protect it from the ground up and help it last.
Steps and Levels
Steps, multi-level platforms and ramps link the deck to the house and the garden.
Each one is built to suit how you move around the space.
Lighting and Planters
Built-in lighting and planters make a deck more useful and more personal.
Add them at the design stage and the cabling and fixings are hidden neatly.
Waste Removal
Old decking, turf and offcuts are cleared away at the end of the job.
As licensed waste carriers, we dispose of everything responsibly.
A Chester Garden, Rebuilt
One recent project took a neglected garden in Chester and turned it into a multi-level space, with tiered timber decking, a pergola, a barbecue area and an accessible ramp.
The work began with ground preparation and drainage. The decking was then built level by level, and the old materials were cleared away by us as licensed waste carriers.
It shows what a full decking project can include, from the groundwork to the last board.

Decking Questions
Answers to what people ask us most about a new deck.
Yes, the whole job is project-managed. We remove old decking or turf, prepare the ground, lay weed membrane and drainage where needed, and take all the waste away as licensed waste carriers.
Timber is naturally slip-resistant and has a warm, natural look. Composite has a smoother finish and can be a little more slippery when wet, but textured boards are available for extra grip. We will recommend the right one for how you use the space.
Usually not, if the deck is under 30 cm high and covers less than half of your garden. In a conservation area, or for a more complex design, we will tell you what is needed.
Yes. We can build in lighting, planters, steps and paths, and design the deck around a pergola, a hot tub base or an outdoor kitchen.
Sweep timber decking regularly and wash it with warm, soapy water or a decking cleaner, re-treating it now and then. Composite only needs washing down with water and a mild detergent, and never needs staining or painting.
